Exclusion Suite [Updated]

Update: The first episode is now online! See it at http://www.exclusionsuite.com/episodeone.html.

My friend Sam is writing a college soap opera called Exclusion Suite. I was invited onto the project a few months ago to work on promotion, the website, and help out with production - the show will only be airing online, since the university tv station didn't pick it up. The first episode was filmed this past Saturday - the website was launched this afternoon. First episode should premiere in about a week or so.

It's very exciting to be a part of something bigger than me. Really looking forward to seeing the episode and working more with these guys. :)

EastAsiaReview.org

New website for Columbia's East Asia Review is up at http://www.eastasiareview.org. Not a really full-fleshed design, but the functionality's there. It's currently a static site with a few submission forms and information - by next April it will have a full-featured content management system behind it to support the publication of articles.

Launch of robinyang.com

Finally relaunched the portal website. Main goals are to use it as a launch pad to other sites (thingsiknow.net, and the future photo gallery), but also highlight the work I've done, making this site more of a portfolio, perse. News updates will serve the purpose of notifying when new writing, work has been posted.

This was a one-day site code, by the way.

I was walking by the Crane & Co stationery and card shop after getting off work early on Wednesday, and found a bunch of beautiful correspondence cards, which inspired the swirls on the border of the site. I managed to spend the remaining hours of my Thanksgiving, post-dinner, reworking the rest of the design, and most of this morning and afternoon coding. It's 8:43, and the site has been mocked up, hard-coded, and implemented in Movable Type (after an hour of unsuccessfully trying to get Blosxom to work).

And it feels good. Soundtrack for this marathon provided by the Rock Band song listing.
